About this site
Armor Pieces is a Minecraft mod, and this is the site around it: a wiki, a gallery of pieces and packs, the editor in your browser, and a library for the packs people make.
Who runs it
The site and the mod are made and run by mattjes. The responsible party for everything published here, and the address to write to about any of it, is admin@armorpieces.com. Bug reports and feature requests are better on the issue tracker, where other people can find them too.
What it is not
NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.
Armor Pieces is a fan-made mod. It is not made by, endorsed by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. The site follows the Minecraft Usage Guidelines: it does not serve the game or any of its files, it does not sell anything, it carries no advertising, and nothing about an account here changes anything in the game.
Where the money is
Nowhere, on purpose. The mod is downloaded from Modrinth and CurseForge, whose creator programmes pay authors per download under their own terms. That is the only income the project has, and the site costs it nothing. There are no paid tiers, no affiliate links and no ads. If a way to support the project directly is ever added, it will buy nothing that only the supporter can use.
What the site is made of
- ArmorPieces: the mod, its pieces, skins and cloths, and the Python toolchain that makes them.
- ArmorPiecesBlockbench: the editor at /editor/, a modified Blockbench web build (GPL-3.0) running the mod's plugin against the mod's own Python under Pyodide. The copy here runs Armor Pieces 0.3.0 at 0.3.0-11-g5d34331.
- ArmorPiecesSite: this site.
The editor ships none of the game's textures. The figure it shows wears the mod's own studio set until you point it at your own copy of the game, which is read into your browser and nowhere else.
